I caught two massive blue catfish from the bank over the winter with it The rods I am pairing with the reel is the Okuma Longitude LCC902H1 which is a 9 foot Heavy action rod. Catfish Dave used 12 foot Longitudes in the past from the bank. It is a really good rod and I did start using them myself once I learned about them from Catfish Dave The line I am using is 30lb Soft Steel Ultra Premium Mono. I have used it with great success in the past. Hopefully I won t have zebra mussel issues with this line.
