MD 80 MD 90 the middle class

The McDonnell Douglas MD80 and MD90 are mediumhaul passenger airliners part of the DC9 family. In fact, they are the second and third generations of this family, which have become one of the main planes of the regional transportation in many countries. Nevertheless, the loss of leadership by McDonnell Douglas in a number of strategy and engineering solutions, by the 1990s, led to lagging behind competitors, which had consequences for both the family and the company. A total of 1307 units were produced: 1, 191 MD80 model liners and 116 MD90 model airliners. Thank you for watching
