Manchester City V Spurs (1956)
Manchester, Lancashire. Start of the FA (Football Association) Cup semifinals between Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) and Manchester City. GV. Tottenham kicking off from left to right, Spurs in white shirts and black shorts. They kick off and come down field towards camera to start an attack on the left wing. GV. Massed crowd. GV. Tottenham have been awarded a corner on the left wing and their man is just about to take it. He kicks and the ball goes into the centre where Roy Paul and a Spurs man both jump to head, but they both miss it and it goes out to Dave Dunmore. He steadies himself and shoots. Ball goes through a mass of players and it misses Bert Trautmann. Bill Leivers is standing on the goalline. He kicks away what would be a certain goal. He gets it away and Len Duquemin, who is standing nearby, is unlucky not to have collected it and banged it back in.
