On Nov. 27, 2009, Tiger Woods crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant and neighbor s tree near his Florida home. The accident came two days after stories alleging his infidelity appeared in tabloids. As the scandals continued to unfold, Woods took an indefinite leave from the PGA Tour before admitting to and apologizing for his affairs in a televised statement in February 2010. He returned to competition in April, but did not win another major championship until the Masters in 2019.
