Advancing with Watercolor: A Night in Paris
This is a video done as a supplement to a watercolor class taught by Gary Tucker in Boston. This is the 8th of a series of 8 lessons that will use various scenes of Paris as a motif. The lessons will focus on design, in particular visualizing a center of interest and using this as a means to compose the painting. Also the series returns to the use of graded washes to create light and transition in the paintings In this lesson I talk about using the various methods I have outlined in previous videos such as using graded Washes, color strategies, thinking in terms of tonal values, and edge control.
