Henrikh Mkhitaryan is an Armenian international footballer who represented his nation 95 times from his debut in 2007 to his international retirement in 2022. A tentime Armenian Footballer of the Year, he is also the record goalscorer in the history of the national team with 32 goals. He broke the previous record of 11 goals held by Artur Petrosyan on 15 October 2013 when he scored in a 22 World Cup qualifier draw with Italy. On 29 May 2016, Mkhitaryan scored Armenia s first ever international hattrick when he netted three times in a 71 friendly win over Guatemala in the United States
