Rare photographs from the childhood and teenage years of Empress Alexandra. In her early years, Princess Alix was a happy child, active and always laughing. For her cheerful and bright character, her mother called her Sunny. These happy days for Alix and for the family would come to a dramatic end. All the quotes used in the captions of this video are from the abovementioned book. This video is produced as part of the project for the book The Romano Royal Martyrs, which is an impressive 512page book, featuring nearly 200 black white photographs, and a 56page photo insert of more than 80 highquality images, colourized by the acclaimed Russian artist Olga Shirnina (Klimbim) and appearing here in print for the first time.
