System 3: Unwin

New 2012 video about fitting and removing System 3 from Unwin, the leading maker of wheelchair safety systems. System 3 is one of Unwin s new Flagship Systems (about which there is a separate new video). Below is a transcript of the instructions given in this training video. System 3 is a four point wheelchair tiedown with a separate 3 Point Occupant Restraint system. Wheelchair front tiedowns are fixed length type, whilst the rear tiedown is fully flexible due to the simple over centre buckle mechanism. To fit the front straps into the rail, press down on the ribbed part of the ATF, to locate in the rail, and then push firmly towards the wheelchair until the yellow clip drops and locks into place. With the buckle release button facing outwards, fasten the front straps to the front wheelchair frame, on the designated front tiedown attachment point. Install the second tiedown, ensuring that the position of this is parallel with the first and repeat the procedure.
