Si Habrá en Este Baldrés Spanish Renaissance Song
Music by Juan del Encina, vocals arrangement by Farya Faraji. This is another song by Leonese composer Juan del Encina, who lived in the 16th century. This is a rather bawdy song with salacious lyrics, and shows the kind of humour that would have been found in the culture of the courts of the era in Spain. I used the pronunciation of the era when it comes to the j sound, which had quality more similar to the English pronunciation of the word rouge as in MoulinRouge, rather than the current Voiceless velar fricative found in Castilian Spanish accents, which is how I would pronounce it normally. Lyrics in Castilian: Si habrá en este baldrés mangas para todas tres Tres moças daquesta villa, tres moças dquesta villa desollavan una pija para mangas a todas tres. Tres moças daqueste barrio, tres moças daqueste barrio desollavan un carajo para mangas a todas tres. Y faltoles una tira, y faltoles
