United States defeated 32 Finland in the Bronze Medal Game, earning the lower step of the podium in the 2013 IIHF World Championship. The Americans started very well the game scoring early in the first period with Craig Smith (Nashville Predators). Late in the first USA scored again with Paul Stastny (Colorado Avalanche), thanks to a good assist by Smith. In the second period Finland tried to come back with a couple of good scoring chances, not being able to score any goal despite the good offensive effort
