Pink Floyd Interstellar Overdrive ( GUITARS ONLY) Fender Esquire
Five takes of this song were originally recorded on 27 February 1967, with a sixth later recorded on 16 March 1967, in an attempt to create a shorter version, with overdubs in June of that year. Syd played this song (along with the other songs of The Piper) with his Fender Esquire (unlike the version of the movie Tonite Let s All Make Love in London, in which he plays his Danelectro 3021). In the studio on Pink Floyd s debut album Syd allegedly used a 50W Selmer Truvoice Treble n Bass played through a 212 cabinet, and a Watkins Dominator combo.
