A. C. Astor (1932)
Titles read: And now Pathetone presents another Radio Vaudeville Star. A. C. Astor, The Globetrotting London (probably Pathe Studio). A C Astor comes through the door of a set of a boxer s dressing room. A man is attending to a boxer actually a puppet on the bench. Astor puts his arm around the puppet (and sneakily into his back) and the puppet starts to talk deliriously about hearing someone counting and dreaming he was dead. The puppet has a black eye. They engage in some chat about the fight; Astor seems to be the manager and they argue about the fight and why the puppet didn t win. It is quite hard to look at the puppet when it talks as Astor seems to be emoting when he is doing the puppet s voice. He often looks at the camera, and raises his eyes when the puppet speaks.
