8 10 2021 Taylorsville, Ca Dixie Fire destruction left from fire overnight homes cars destroyed

Numerous homes, cars and out buildings were destroyed when the Dixie Fire changed directions and swept back down a mountain. Some engines were removed earlier in the day as it looked like the risk was significantly decreased as the fire had been steered around the homes and was moving away. Cloud tops reached 35k as the fire raced through the community. Homes destroyed were on Diamond Mountain Rd near North Arm Rd north of the town of Taylorsvilee.
