Inmate beaten to death: 10 prisoner guards charged, Live NOW from FOX

Ten New York prison guards were charged in connection with the fatal beating of a 22yearold inmate Messiah Nantwi last month. Two of the guards have been charged with murder. Its the second time a group of correctional officers in New York have been indicted for a death behind bars this year. Lawyers for the two guards charged with seconddegree murder, Jonah Levi and Caleb Blair, entered not guilty pleas at an indictment hearing Wednesday. Theyre also charged with firstdegree manslaughter alongside three other guards. The beatings and lack of urgency about getting him medical attention demonstrated depraved indifference for Nantwis life, the indictment said.
