Grzegorz Bral, Song of the Goat Theater Anty Gone PART II eng subs
Antigone is poetic, delicate and sensitive. She belongs to the worlds of old beliefs and rituals. She does not wish to be modern nor contemporary. Contemporaneity terrifies her. She dances. In AntyGone the spectator recognizes the protagonists viewpoint; a woman fighting for her rights, never letting go of her dreams. Antigone, the guardian of spirituality, loses the fight to materialism. The performance is built on over a dozen polyphonic compositions; performed by an international group of vocalists, accompanied by the sound of a cello. The contemporary dance is a loose interpretation of the tragedy. The musical pieces correspond with the language of movement performed by dancers led by the distinguished choreographer Melanie Lomoff.
