Joanna Logue talks with Maria Stoljar about her show Alone on the Marsh

I spoke with Australian artist Joanna Logue about her show at Scott Livesey Galleries in Melbourne, Australia. I d previously interviewed Joanna about her life and art on the Talking with Painters podcast (see link below). After drawing inspiration from the Australian landscape for many years Joanna has been living in a different landscape Mount Desert Island in the US state of Maine, but the events of 2020 not only the restrictions brought with COVID but the loss of a close friend and the political and social unrest in the US has made her question the relevance of her work in face of all the turmoil. Luckily for us she ultimately decided that art has an important place in these strange times and this show is evidence of just how much. The exhibition runs from 22 May to 12 April 2021.
