Into Alaska Searching for a Cabin Portage to Great Glacier. 10Days Family Camping in the Alaskan B. C. Wild The rain won t let up and we re all soaked to the bone. We follow it and sure enough, we find the small trapper s cabin which is nestled into a stand of giant Sitka Spruce. The cabin had a large woodstove and many hooks for hanging cloths to dry. I cut a bunch of wood and got a nice fire going while Tori cooked up a delicious medal of poutine for dinner and heavy rain continued to pelt the tin roof.
