Written and directed by Shawn Christensen for himself to star in, Curfew won the Academy Award for Best Short Film in 2013. Curfew is also starring the talented child actor Fatima Ptacek. The film tells the story of the suicidal Richie and his elevenyear old niece, Sophia. Richie is at a low point in his life when he gets a call from his estranged sister asking him to look after Sophia for a few hours. The resulting night time excursion reveals a deep connection between two troubled souls. The dialogue is witty and the acting from both leads is fantastic.
