Gary Wörtz, MD, chief medical officer of Omega Ophthalmics, allowed OIS attendees to see the first public implantation of his companys Omega Gemini Refractive Capsule. The refractive implant improves vision but also maintains a space where future lenses could be implanted. The capsule would be used on cataract patients.
