Pre 9, 11 World Trade Center visit ( August 2001)

In midAugust of 2001, my Dad and I flew from California to New York City for a quick weekend sightseeing trip. We visited the observation deck of the south tower of the World Trade Center just 3 weeks before it was tragically destroyed on 9, 11. We also ended up being some of the last people allowed to ascend to the crown of the Statue of Liberty until almost 8 years after the attacks. After 20 years I finally dug out the old VHS tape of our trip and digitized it just in time for the 20th anniversary. You ll have to forgive my videography skills, as I was only 16 at the time. The timestamps on the video are accurate, I was pretty particular about that at the time.
