Morning Face 朝顔

Hello everybody This is Bill here at the Tree House English Studio in Koganecho Yokohama Japan. Today is Sunday, September 4, 2022. The morning started off murky here in Koganecho but its turning into a glorious day. Not only is it sunny but another reason why today is glorious is because I have these wonderful flowers blooming in front of the studio. In Japanese, these flowers are known as asagao. In English, these flowers are known as morning glory. Thats why Im saying its a glorious morning even though the air is thick with awful humidity. Im surprised that more people in Japan dont know the name of this flower in English. I also think that the direct translation of asagao is quite humorous. The direct translation would be morning face. Now, I dont know about you, but when I wake up in the morning, I have morning face and I dont want to show anybody.
