Pigment Spotlight: Manganese Blue Genuine PB33
README This is a spotlight on the watercolour Mangenese Blue. Managanese Blue Genuine PB33 is a pigment that is no longer in production and is running out in supply. Here I test all the Manganese still availible on the market and compare it to my own handmade Manganese blue and a Managanese Blue Hue which is supposed to immitate the pigment. What I tested: Old Holland Manganese Blue PB33 Old Holland Manganese Blue Deep PB33 PV16 Wallace Seymour Manganese Blue PB33 My Handmade Manganese Blue PB33 Winsor Newton Manganese Blue Hue PB15 Update: The Wallace Seymour MB has dried but not very well its very cracked with holes in. Im guessing there are some binder issues with this paint. Avoid. I ve been looking into substitutes I feel the best way to immitate it would be to use a mix of cobalt blue with either cerulean or pthalo blue. The cobalt will cause heavy grandulation while the cerulean or phtalo will lighten and br
