Iran: Tehran mourns at funeral of highest ranking military officer killed in Syria

Hundreds gathered in central Tehran on Sunday for the funeral of a top general of the Iranian army, who was leading Iran s military offensive in Syria. Major General Hossein Hamedani was killed in the vicinity of Aleppo on Thursday evening and is the most senior officer killed in a foreign operation since the Islamic Revolution of 1979.
