Few people realise the rapid and highly technical work that takes place behind the theatre M, S of backstage staff working frantically to raise the curtain at the London Coliseum. Closer shot of the men pulling on ropes. Under the engineer s control, the giant revolving stage the largest in the world moves round, propelled by its electric motors C, U of a man in the wings operating the stage machinery. C, U of the revolving machinery underneath the stage. A man rides on the construction as it moves. And another scene silently moves into M, S of men moving pieces of scenery around on stage. Most of the men wear black overalls but the supervisor wears white. M, S of two men backstage throwing lots of switches and levers. The toplights are brightened Low angle shot of lines of light.
