Belmas, Xenia, Sopran, 1889 Tschernigow (Ukraine), Durban (South Afrika) Conductor, husband Alexander Kitschin. Kitschin is a mystery. He made some recording as a sort of house conductor, accompanying his wife Xenia Belmas, and a handful of other singers. But this recording of Tshaikovsky s 5th, and an 1812 Overture from around the same time, are the only orchestral sides he made. He disappeared after that. Probably with Belmas to South Africa.
