Quickest Mobilisation Ever (1927)
Item title reads: Quickest mobilisation ever. Thousands of troops and munitions embark and leave for Somewhere in Rousing scenes as London said goodbye to the Southampton Panning shot along a long row of armoured cars mounted on rail carriages. A steam train puffs into shot. M, S along the carriages of the train with men hanging out of every window, waving enthusiastically. M, S of a line of trucks with gun carriages on them. Soldiers move along in line carrying kit bags, some with white pith helmets. One has a large label, or ticket on his kit. They move on up the gang plank to board the ship. A row of men shuffle about before presenting arms. A queue of men join the crowded ranks on the decks, followed by some women in some sort of uniform with a smart light coat and hat perhaps nurses. They all wave on board. London A mass of men rush across a large parade ground to line up and report. M, S of a brass band playing and marching along through some gates. M, S stream of soldier
