VERY WET Metal Detecting with the Garrett APEX. . Can it cope with the weather

NOTHING is going to stop me metal detecting again, not even bad rain and knee deep mud. But is the APEX really weatherproof I love metal detecting so much, that i decided to get out on another local permission that we hadnt been on for about a year. It was the field where i found my last gold and the lead soldiers, however I think we did a very good job of hunting out the fields there didnt seem to be much to find, but I was very surprised when i got home to find id dug a lovely French Napoleon coin from
