Almost 8 decades ago in 1940, Bhagwan gave His Divine promise to Mother Easwaramma that His mission would be conducted in Puttaparthi, that Puttaparthi would be His karmakshethra, His field of action. Since that day, that promise was kept to the fullest, and continues to be kept till this day. Yet, the Lord, while remaining in Prasanthi Nilayam, created several Prasanthi Nilayams in different parts of India and the world, each one carrying its own Divine flavor and beauty, its own story of His glory and His love, its own role in His Mission. Bhagwan would often visit these residences of His to grace devotees who would otherwise not be able to travel to Prasanthi Nilayam to have His darshan. One of those places is Sundaram at Chennai, a place which needs no introduction. Famous for its lovely Sai bhajans with singers who were handpicked and trained by Swami Himself in the early days, Sundaram stands as a model for bhajan singing, service activities, and zeal to spread His message and mission.
