A woman is seated at a dressing table reading a letter. A maid enters through the door and a title reads: A gentleman from Emile s Madame . The man comes in and bows, then after a quick glance at the woman s hair proceeds to sketch a style he thinks would suit Madame s individuality as this is the latest idea in hairdressing. C, U of his sketch. He hands it to Madame and it meets with approval. He combs her hair. He creates a modern adaptation of the Grecian style of hairstyle. C, U of the woman s hair being plaited then pinned to the head. The style is accessorised with a thin jet band with a shaded flamecoloured ostrich feather. C, U of this being attached to the head.
