Japanese criminal law stipulates hanging as the sole method of execution. The execution process, however, remains shrouded in mystery. Not only is the general pubic unfamiliar with the system, but even many legal professionals, such as lawyers, public prosecutors, and judges, lack a detailed knowledge of the death penalty. This video was created to provide both laymen and professionals with accurate information on the actual conditions surrounding hanging as a form of capital punishment in Japan.
