Inspired by my visits to The Public Gardens in Halifax NS. I remember as a child, being there and having a grown up tell me to appreciate my youth as it was fleeting. 50 years later a stranger said essentially the same thing to my daughter. And as life goes on, more young people become old people, encouraging the newyoung to enjoy their youth and their lives. This song would have no gravitas if not for the amazing voice of Johnny Cash.
