This semiwild orangutan latched onto a Dutch tourist as she walked along the trail near the feeding area. The guides suggested that this uncommon behavior was due to the recent loss of a child. Reluctantly feeding the animal a banana was the only way the guides could free her from its powerful arms and legs.
