Salem s Lot originally aired on CBS on November 17 and 24 of 1979 in two 2hour segments. The following year, CBS aired an edited version of the miniseries in one 3hour segment. A total of 4 different versions exist. So this version, instead of being presented in its original twopart format, is instead shown as a 3hour long movie. Despite this there are no actual scenes edited out and is still the original unedited CBS version as seen in its original broadcast
