Red Scarves Headlight ( Official Video)
Directed and Edited by Kaity Szymborski Camera: Kaity Szymborski and Ayethaw Tun A note from the director: Headlight is the kind of song that hits home for me. The lyrics are ominous and the music brings the listener from deep apprehension to cathartic release. I love feeling like Im being taken for a ride. When the Red Scarves and I began working on the music video, we identified the moods, feelings, and themes first, letting those drive the imagery. We agreed that among other spooky visuals, the song evokes themes of feeling like you are being watched and followed. Our initial storyboarding sessions set the tone for my filming and editing choices. I wanted my indirect shots to capture the idea of being watched from who knows where. It was important to me that the pacing of the video reflect the ebb and flow of the music. The lonely stretches of dark roads were key to creating a feeling of trying to outrun someoneor something. Huge thanks to the Red Scarves for handin
