Chinas Forgotten War 08 Child Soldiers Part 1

On 1945, 08, 15, Japan announced unconditional surrender. This marks the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan of China. However, this war can never be forgotten. The Chinese planned to draft over 100, 000 child soldiers to fight against Japan in 1937. Li Gaoshan was one of them. In summer 1937, Shanghai fell to Japan, Li s unit retreated to defend China s capital Nanjing. However, the whole unit were quickly captured by the Japanese and became prisoners of war.
