Taylor Upsahl s deep love of songwriting comes through in the way her music fearlessly tackles lifes edgier subjects. The daughter of a Phoenix punk rocker who would host touring bands after local gigs, young Taylor was enamored with the musician s life early on. In high school, she wrote, recorded, and released three albums. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and settled on the artist name UPSAHL, because her family played such a role in her music. Summing up her work ethos, shes said: When Im writing songs that are vulnerable and real and This is me, sorry about it, thats when I feel the most badass. In L.
