Proper Angle for Bent Over Row for Overall Back Development
Proper Angle for Bent Over Row for Overall Back Development. Bending over until the upper body is parallel to the floor is NOT the ideal angle for overall back development for most. I ve found the 45 degree angle to be best or slight variations of it, therefore the lats and traps get hit optimally without the lower back giving out first before the major muscle groups do. This also helps with assisting with pulling to the waist instead of pulling to the sternum. Pulling to the waist is a good thing as it helps engage the lats.
