Summerland, le pays de lÉté ( France, 2015) dir. Cecile Ravel
Summerland is a territory where human beings and animals are exchanging a part of their souls and bodies. Here metaporphoses are constant, corrupting borders and boundaries between species. Many transformations occur secretly within the depth fo the forest. In Summerland the point of view is always ambiguous, submitted itself to a constant movement between reality and surreality. The title of the film refers to Slumberland, imaginary country visited every night by Little Nemo, a little boy from Winsor Mc Cay s cartoon Litlle Nemo. Shot entirely with super 8.
