From The Egg To The Chick (1934)
Titles read: From the Egg to the Chick. Italy. Various shots of women packing eggs into trays. The trays are put into a huge electric incubator that tilts the eggs as a hen would (not quite the same thing though, is it ). Magnified shots show what is happening inside the egg as we see the heart beating, the spine taking shape, followed by veins and arteries. After 21 days we see a fully formed chick. The chick breaks out of the egg. The women we saw earlier open drawers full of tiny chicks and put them in wire boxes. Brief shot of a woman posing with a chick on the back of her hand.
