Mike Mayfield Hard Up

Listen to the EP on your preferred platform here: I spent the summer of 2018 writing songs for this EP and Im really proud of how they turned out Each song has a personal resonance and this one (Hard Up) especially so. Ive had times in my life of great hardship, with pennies left to my name, while at the same time performing for the rich and famous (and even royalty ). But despite experiencing this contrast, I felt a strange sense of liberation from having little money, or at least little desire to have it drive the choices in my life, and Hard Up is my way of exploring those feelings.
