Strasburg Railroad: The Days of Thunder ( BCP Memories)
Like us on Facebook In August of 2019, exNorfolk Western 484 J Class, 611 ventured north to the rolling hills of Lancaster County for an extended visit at the Strasburg Railroad. A historic moment for the Queen of Steam, this was her first visit to the Road to Paradise, where she was also joined by the railroads own exNorfolk Western 480 M Class, 475, dubbed as The Great Reunion. In early October, Lerro Photography organized a series of photo charters that saw the 611 and the 475 dressed in their inservice appearances, as well as the 475 dressed up as sister engine, 382, one of the engines that were regular subjects for famed railroad photographer O. Winston Link.
