Scat singing on Confirmation

Scat singing is one of my favourite activities (as I m sure some of you know ). And Charlie Parker s Confirmation is one of my favourite bebop heads it s so joyful and it s great to scat on This live performance was recorded last June. Chris Eldred, Conor Chaplin and Pat Davey in the rhythm section. Variety is important when I m scatting. Sometimes I m thinking percussively in terms of some of the scat syllables I use, but I also like to sing more smoothly and lyrically over the changes too.
