General Motors created its own auto shows at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York city. These shows not only highlighted cars the public could buy but showed off dreamy concept cars, dubbed the Dream Cars, that set peoples hearts and minds racing. We see TV host and singer Arthur Godfrey with former GM President C. E. Wilson (secretary of Defense under Eisenhower), current GM president, Harlow Curtice.
