VS of soldiers in hot climate receiving post. One soldier reads his letter sitting on his bed, a photograph of his wife by his side. He looks upset. Cuts to show his wife walking with a spiv type man. The local gossips decided that they are more than just good friends and write to her husband to give him the bad news. The soldier looks upset for a moment but then sees sense and throws the letter on the floor and looks lovingly at the picture of his wife.
