The father is making up the fire, the women are preparing a cooked meal and ironing. A man dressed as a wizard (a very home made looking outfit ) appears in the middle of the room. I am the fuel demon he announces. and I have come to inform you that this waste must stop. CU the well stocked fire in the hearth, cut to factory chimneys with the smoke reversing inside. CU a kettle and saucepan on the gas cooker, cut to factory machinery oven as the flames decrease. Voiceover: Waste means want CU dynamos. CU Steam train. CU army tanks. Voiceover Fuel wanted for the war MS the Magician Go easy on the gas he points to the cooker. CU the factory chimneys smoking again. MS the magician points his wand at a lamp which goes out as he says Economise on electric light Cut to the factory furnace flames increasing. Voice over consume less coal. The hearth fire goes out.
