The objective of this investigation was to warn our viewers about crooked furnace repairmen looking to make a fast buck. We worked with a veteran HVAC contractor who now teaches his trade at a local college. We set up a hidden camera sting at the home of a widowed senior citizen. What we witnessed was troubling. Some of these guys tried to sell the trusting senior parts and services she didn t need. It showed our viewers, when it comes to hiring contractors, you have to be on guard.
