Blind woman explains how guide running feels like flying
A blind woman is in training for the Great North Run after discovering she could train with a guide. Ruth Forrest, who has been visually impaired from an early age, says she began to feel different as a child when people began restricting her movement. But having found guide running which is running with a sighted partner the 39yearold from East Kilbride says she feels a new sense of freedom.
