This is some seriously great music. A fantastic minimal wave, synth record out of Montreal. Degrees Of Freedom was the trio of Janet Cadman, Martin Chartrand David Curtis. I first heard August Is An Angel in 1986 on a various artists compilation called Listen. To my surprise this was the last song on side B where normally you ll find the fillers. However it turned out to be a jewel hidden in there, most likely as a result of a dude with a bad taste who had put this compilation together. 2 years later
