Max Cavalera and Son Talk Go Ahead and Die, Horror Movies, Brazilian Metal and More
Featuring metal icon Max Cavalera and his son, Igor Amadeus, as well as Khemmis drummer Zach Coleman, Go Ahead and Die are a deaththrash supergroup with serious bona fides. The Arizona trio are set to drop their selftitled debut fulllength which Max describes as a mashup of Discharge and Celtic Frost, with a nod to the early Brazilian extrememetal scene on June 11th via Nuclear Blast. Ahead of the big drop, we chatted with the fatherson duo to discuss the origins of the project, how horror movies and home cooking influenced it, the challenges of playing in a family band and more.
