Did Gibson STEAL the Les Paul Design in 1952
In this video, we ll explore the story of a littleknown luthier named O. W. Appleton who claimed that in 1943 he brought a solid body, single cutaway, electric Spanishstyle guitar he had made to show Gibson Guitars almost 10 YEARS before they would put the Les Paul model into production If the story is true, that means Gibson may have STOLEN his design without giving him credit.
